Striking Sparks (PsyCop, #2.1)

Striking Sparks (PsyCop, #2.1) - Jordan Castillo Price Another quick trip into Crash's life and quite a different picture it portrays. For the first time he is likeable to me, kind of sweet in a very Crash way. It would have been obnoxious if he weren't an empath but given that he could sense the other man's emotions and what the guy wanted made it adorable. This is an excellent companion to the series but is easily standalone as well. These three shorts between books 2 and 3 are about Crash and they all fit him in different ways. He's a little different in each one and I like this Crash the best. (Avoid 2.3. It'snot standalone and Crash is an ass in it.) I love that Crash is a total slob and has tons of shoes. I also love his home and the realism of the ridiculously laid out apartment where you have to go through the bathroom to get to the bedroom. Those insane apartments exist. I once looked at an apartment that had no right angles in the walls and as a result, one of the two bedrooms couldn't fit a bed in it. The other could only fit a twin. Seriously, I'm not kidding. I also have a friend who used to have a house whe you had to go through a narrow galley kitchen to get to the bedrooms. Ther weren't even any doors in that part of the house and that's where the bathroom was, too. Anyway, I really liked this one.
